Bridget NIXON was convicted at Cork, Ireland in 1830 for stealing calico material. Previous convictions. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the ship ‘Palambam’ 1831.
Aged 19yrs; single woman; housemaid; Roman Catholic.
Native place of birth: Limerick, Ireland.
Convict record states that her aunts, Catherine Stanley and Mary Ann Rourke came to Australia about 10 yrs ago.
Remark on her record that she had a further conviction at Moreton Bay, NSW.
