William Nobes was tried & convicted at Norwich Assizes, Norfolk on 28 Mar 1835 for sheep stealing & sentenced to life transportation to VDL. Said to have a very bad character. The convict ship Bardaster left Portsmouth on 16 September 1835 & arrived in Hobart (VDL) on 13 January 1836. He received his Ticket of Leave on 1 January 1844. He received his Conditional Pardon on 18 September 1847.
