The Convict Indentures state that Jane Noble was 22 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of Ennskillen. She was a laundress (good). Jane was convicted of stealing clothes at Fermanagh on 24 June 1837 and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: height 5 feet 5 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair dark brown and eyes chestnut. Transport 37. Prisoner number 37-38. Received Certificate of Freedom in 1846 (number 46/541). Her sister Letitia transported on the same ship for stealing a watch.
