On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1825, 20 October: Patrick NOWLAN – Certificate of Freedom #168/4519 – per Mary 1, 1819; native place City of Dublin; servant; tried Dublin City, July 1818; seven years; born 1799; 5’4”, ruddy complexion, brown hair and hazel eyes. Subsequent Certificate #29/232 issued on 20 March 1829 (see NSW, Australia, Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867).
1823, 25 October: Patrick NOWLAN on return of convicts discharged from the Establishment, Emu Plans; to Penrith Bench (NSW Colonial Secretary's Papers, 1788-1856). 1825: Patrick NOWLAND (NOWLAN) per Mary, 7 years; government servant to Henry Fulton, Bathurst (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster M-Z 1825).
1823, January: Prisoner forwarded to Sydney by William Brown, Justice of the Peace at Appin. Victualled for one day by Thomas Burke, District Constable, Campbelltown; also listed as Knowlan (NSW Colonial Secretary's Papers, 1788-1856).
1821, 9 February: Patrick NOWLAN per “Mary”, August 1819; on list of prisoners transported to Newcastle per “Elizabeth Henrietta”; sent by the Sydney Bench on January 22, 1821, for one year (NSW Colonial Secretary's Papers, 1788-1856).
