C1798: Married John Ellard (Sugar Cane 1793) - Elizabeth born 1799, and others not listed. 1810: Bridget Nowland - Memorial for renewal of grant Comments: Arrived 1791; husband drowned on voyage to Howes Island; of The Rocks The dutiful petition of Bridget Nowland Most respectfully sheweth That your Excellency;s petitioner is nineteen years in this Colony and during said period humbly ---- that the general tenor of her conduct will meet with the impartial---- industrious, endeavouring by persevering application to honest industry to obtain ---- to support a helpless family of --- children whose male parent has been drowned on the voyage to Howe Island.... 1825 Muster: 1825 muster (1823-1825) Nowland, Bridget, free by servitude, Queen, 1791, 7 years, housekeeper, Sydney. 1828 Census: Nowland, Bridget, 67, free by servitude, Queen, 1791, 7 years, dealer, Gloster Street Sydney. 6/10/1836: Sydney Herald CORONER'S INQUESTS. An Inquest was held on Monday, at the Three Tuns, King-street, on the body of an elderly female, named Bridget Rossiter, who had been found in the street in a dying state, by Inspector Christie. She was conveyed to the general hospital, and died the following day. Doctor Mitchell certified that the death of the woman was cause by general debility. Verdict - died by the visitation of God.
