Assizes At Chelmsford, 14 prisoners were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death, viz. ... and James Nugent, for robbing James Bennett on the highway, at Waltham Holy Cross; of whom the first three, Buttle, Ingersole, and Cole , were left for execution; the others were reprieved. Oxford Journal, 6 April 1811.

James Nugent was listed as being the general servant of Dr. William Bland. 1815: James Nugent married Mary Supple (Mary Anne 1815) Colonial Secretary Papers: NUGENT, James. Per "Guildford", 1812 1825 Nov: To be granted a conditional pardon (Fiche 3292; 4/6974.1 pp.49, 71) 1825 Census: Listed as the husband of Mary Supple (Mary Anne 1815) – They had 4 children: Patrick Nugent b about 1813 on board convict ship Mary Anne – (Mary Supple was listed as the wife of Patrick Beehan, son Patrick was known as Patrick Supple). James Nugent b 1815 Botany Bay died 1890 Meragle NSW Mary Nugent b 1818 Botany bay married Thomas Richards 1840 had 4 children, Thomas died in 1850 then she married James Donohue 15 Feb 1857 Albury and had 3 children to James, she died 8 Jan 1890 and was buried on 9/1/1890 at Oppossum Point Tooma NSW - James died 1868. Thomas Nugent b 1820 Botany Bay, married Eliza Dunn 1851 at Tumut and died 22/4/1890 at Berringama Vic, he was buried 24/4/1890 at Cidgewa Cemetery Vic. 1829: James Nugent Snr., died aged 38. Mary Supple died in 1830 aged 32.
