Crime: Larceny (three indictments) goods valued at 4s 6d. Initial sentence: Seven years' transportation. Gaoler's report: Very idle. Annotated: Nil. Petitioner(s): William Camplin, James Reeman and John Cooper, prosecutors and 22 people. Grounds for clemency: Sober, honest and industrious young man; he did not realise the serious consequences of his crimes; prosecutors did not think he would get such a heavy sentence.
