4/9/1830 Leeds Patriot and Yorkshire Advertiser West Yorkshire, England: At Lancaster assizes, last week, Christopher Nuttal, aged 53, was indicted for having forged a £5 note of the Leeds and Pontefract Bank. The indictment contained another count, in which the prisoner was charged with having uttered the said note, knowing the same to have been forged. He pleaded guilty to both charges, and judgement of death was recorded. Christopher Nuttall was listed as being 49 years old on arrival in VDL (newspaper report says 53??). Christopher was 5'8¼" tall, dark complexion, dark brown to grey hair, grey whiskers, grey eyes, married - no children listed. 1832-35 Musters: Assigned to W. E. Lawrence Esq. 17/6/1839: TOL 3/5/1842: Larceny under £5 - 6 months hard labour and his TOL suspended. 1/7/1842: CP-606 Cancelled. 22/9/1843: TOL 23/10/1848: Christopher Nuttall died at Launceston.
