Sydney 24 May 1814. No 46. Catherine O’Brien, age 28, tried County Armagh, August 1812, 7 years.




Tasmanian Marriage Record – Hobart Town district 1814: https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD36-1-1p32j2k William Harty, age 25, convict per Arch Duke Charles, and Catherine Obrien, age 30, convict per Catherine, were married by Banns, 19 October 1814. Witness: Edward Curren. Both William and Catherine signed their mark X.




Catherine O'brien arrived NSW 4/5/1814. 1/6/1814: Arrived VDL per 'Kangaroo'. Catherine was born either 1780 or 1786. Listed as 34 on arrival in NSW and 30 when she married in 1814. 19/10/1814: Married William Hartly/Heartly (Archduke Charles 1814) in Hobart. Found no date of death for Catherine but William remarried in 1835 to Janet McCart (Mary 1831).
