Patrick was tried along with Mary Jones (see her entry under ship- Morley) at the New Bailey Courthouse in Salford (Lancaster Quarter Sessions). Patrick had stolen tea from the warehouses of grocers and dealers Messrs Birch & Hampson in Manchester. Mary had received the stolen goods.
