Nicholas was listed as being on the 'Surprize'. 17 Jan 1788 Derby Mercury, Derbyshire, England: DERBY, January 23 County ended on Wednesday Evening at the Shire-Hall, when John Proctor, convicted of stealing a Quantity of Corn, and Nicholas Orme, convicted of stealing Iron from the Cotton Mill at Belpar, were ordered for seven Years Transportation. Nicholas stole a mandrell and drift pin etc., belonging to Jedediah Strutt.
