Baptised 20th February 1831. Hence about 13 when first in trouble with the law. About 15 when transported. He died from being accidentally shot.

(from newspaper) Stole 8 files, the property from Messrs. Clark, Maze & co of the Great Western Cotton Works. He attempted to sell them on, claiming that they belonged to his brother. Had already been convicted in 1844, for 2 months, for stealing pears & apples
