Per "Grenada", 1821 1824 Sep 6 Re permission to marry at Sydney (Reel 6013; 4/3512 p.291) 1825 Sep 17, Oct 17 Servant of T Hyndes of Sydney; testimony as to his character for a ticket of leave (Reel 6027; 4/1717.2 pp.80-1) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Convict Assignment. 18 Jan 1822, Adam Palmer, per Grenada (2), Assigned to Thomas Hyndes, resident at Castlereagh Street. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Convict Permission to Marry. Adam Palmer, convict per Grenada (2), and Jane Dayton, convict per ship Broxbournbury. Requested by Rev. William Cowper, Assistant Chaplain, letter dated 6 Sept 1824. Sydney. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Servant of T Hyndes of Sydney; testimony as to his character for a ticket of leave. We hereby certify that Adam Palmer who came to this Colony on the ship Grenada which arrived in the year 1821, has not been convicted of any crime or misdemeanour in this colony, but it is to our certain belief an honest, sober and industrious character having served faithfully Mr Thomas Hyndes, residing in the district of Sydney from the 15th September 1821 to the 17th September 1825. Wednesday last, the following convicts were removed from Ipswich County Gaol, to be put on board the hulks at Portsmouth : — Benj. Bunn, John Wales, Thos. Hurn, James Plumb, Matthew Newell, Wm. Calver, to be transported for life; Samuel Lester, Wm. Jackson, and Wm. Summons, for 14 years ; and John Norton, Wm. Manby, Adam Palmer, and R. Day. for 7 years.
