Family connections for Mary (Palmer) are: PALMER Mary (Palmer) was born on 26 7 1765. She firstly married ??? (Babbage). She was tried w/1other for stealing, on 3 7 1802, calico at Middlesex Gaol Delivery, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON. She married secondly Hugh (McA/Evoy) on 13 4 1812 at St Matthews CofE Windsor& produced 4children . She is recorded in 1814 as off stores w/3children. She, as Mary (Palmer) emancipist, is recorded as dying on 20 11 1826 age58/61 mother of perhaps 4children [stated as wife of Henry (a name for Hugh?)]. He was tried at Lancaster Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON. He is recorded in 1809 as having lease/grant in Sydney, later as having grants pending & working offtimes for the Police. He is recorded in 1814 as a labourer off stores. He died on 18 3 1841 age70. MARY PALMER and JANE RHYND were indicted for feloniously stealing, on the 3d of July , fourteen yards of printed calico, value 35s. the property of Oliver Oxley. Palmer, GUILTY , aged 19. Rhynd, GUILTY , aged 21. Transported for seven years . Second Middlesex Jury, before Mr. Common Serjeant.
