Jan. 1827: Edward Pantry was one of the smugglers from Kent's Aldington Gang. Edward turned King's evidence. Edward was not transported, but George Ransley the leader and was transported to VDL. 13/10/1827: Arrested and convicted of Sheep stealing. Transported to NSW. Edward Pantry was listed as 35 years old on arrival. Native Place: Bonnington, Kent. Parents: Edward Pantry 1770-?? and Catherine Higgins. 14/3/1822: Married Ann Horton (1801-1882). Listed as 'Panteney'. Children: Ann Pantry Panteney 1825-1913. (In 1829 Ann Horton then married Thomas Crunden). Edward could read, was married with 1 child, 5'7" tall, brown freckled complexion, grey hair and eyes, small mole on right arm, hairy mole on left cheek, dimple in chin. Assigned to John Farrell, Sydney. 2/10/1837: TOL, Illawarra 1845: Recommended for a CP. 23/5/1846: Second Class CP. 15/9/1856: Edward died at Wollongong, NSW. Listed as 'Pantrey' on the NSW BDM.
