To Peter Perkins, I return to you herewith your memorial, because by a reference to the Gazette of the 20th of last May, you will perceive that all correspondence with the local Government respecting Grants of Land must take place through the Office of the Surveyor General. The Memorial of Peter Perkins. Dated July 9 1825. Most humbly sheweth that your Excellency’s Memorialist is a free subject and has been nearly eight years resident in the Colony, he having arrived in the ship Larkins in the year 1817. That Memorialist wishing to embark in the cultivation of Land as he has a complete knowledge of agriculture and the rearing of cattle and at the same time to make provision for his support in Old age. Memoralist most humbly prays that as he is informed that the is a quantity of unlocated Land to right of the end of the road leading from Sydney to South Head, your Excellency may consider convenient and he for such Indulgence will be in duty Bound Ever Pray, (signed) Peter Perkins.
