Native Place: Carlton. 1841: Free Certificate. 10/1/1848: married Catherine Keife at Spring Bay. Matthew was 27 Catherine was 30. No children found from this marriage. 1866: A farmer at Bream Creek, Sorell. 11/7/1885: Wife Catherine died, aged 54, died of Brain Disease at the New Town Pauper Establishment. Born Ireland. 3/8/1886: married Catherine McDonald, aged 17, he was 60, a widower, at Sorell.
