Convict Notes

Family connections for Patrick (Doyle) are: DOYLE Patrick (Doyle) was born about 1795 in co.Dublin Ireland & became a gardener. He was tried at Dublin city in 1822, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 21 12 1822 after a voyage of 3.5months on COUNTESS OF HARCOURT. He is recorded as marrying an Ann (Clarke free her second? (2?of3? marriage) on 26 10 1826 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He died in 1829 age34 at Parramatta. [These details taken from this Website-with the similarities he could be the same man as Mathew-although it's interesting that both are separately named on this Website & in Smees records] Ann (Clark) may have been a different person than the person who married his brothere, as Smees records provide no identity for his wife; however: an Ann (Clarke) was born on 28 9 1807 & baptised on 11 10 1807 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She married firstly (1?of3?) Mathew (Doyle) with permission on 31 1 1826 at St James CofE Sydney. An Ann (Clarke) married thirdly? William (Fowler) on 3 8 1829 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. Details of Ann (Clarke)s family are given in entry for Mary (Brown BRITANNIA 1798) on this Website.
