ADM 101/21/7A/61818-1819 Journal of the Convict Ship Earl St Vincent for 22 July 1818 to 15 January 1819 by John Johnson, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed on a voyage to New South Wales. Folios 6-7: Pat [Patrick] Landrigan, taken ill at sea, sick or hurt; general pain of the head, skin hot, t [tongue] dry; taken ill on 21 August 1818. Folio 9: 12 September 1818; convicts attended the usual duties, removed irons off Pat Landrigan for making himself useful, shaving and washing day. Folio 16: 13 November 1818; convicts attended the usual duties, punished James Brien with 24 lashes for damaging the hospital furniture same to Pat Landrigan for assisting him and ordered neither of them to enter the hospital again, removed irons off James Maloney and left him in charge of hospital.
