George was 29 on arrival in VDL. His occupation was a 'Pork Butcher' and his crime was uttering 1/2 crowns. He had been convicted of this offence before. George was 5'3 1/2" tall, grey eyes, brown hair, single, florid complexion, could read and write. Father:William Mother: Sophia Brothers: William, Frederick, Henry. Sister: Louisa. 30/8/1853: TOL 25/7/1854: CP 1853: Married Mary Ann Meadows (Auroa 1851) they had children. One child Mary Ann, 1853-1921, born in Tasmania, married Richard Henry Wilson, he was born in Melbourne and became a teacher in Sandford (south west Victoria) 1875-78. They had 3 children in Sandford then moved to Woodford near Warrnambool. May 1864: George was a butcher in Argyle Street, Hobart. No date of death found.
