Death records list Lawrence Pearson as being born 1803 -- Listed as 49 years old on arrival in VDL (B1793). Place of Birth: Liverpool, Lancashire. Tried with James Farrows who was transported for 10 years for the same offence (cannot find a ship for James, perhaps served sentence on the Hulks). Transported for stealing 2 shawls from a vessel, 60 were said to have been stolen, Lawrence had only 2. Lawrence was 5'7" tall, could read, sallow complexion, brown hair and whiskers, light brown eyes, bled both arms, married, Wife: Margaret, no children listed. 1 sister, Ann at native place. 28/11/1848: TOL 25/5/1852: Free Certificate. 27/10/1852: Steerage passenger per 'Clarence', Launceston to Melbourne - Free by Servitude. 11/7/1877: Lawrence Pearson died of Senilis at Brickfields Dept., aged 82?? ... buried at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Pauper Section.
