At Derby Sessions, George Pegg, for stealing at Burnaston 12 bushels of potatoes; … severally transported for the term of 7 years. Staffordshire Advertiser, 23 Jan 1819. Convicts. George Pegg, George Glew, John Stamford and John Cooper Kirk have been removed from our county gaol and delivered on board the Justicia Hulk  on the 1st instant, prior to their respective sentences of transportation for seven years each being carried into execution.  Derby Mercury, 4 March 1819.
