Marriage permission, https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON52-1-2p212 Patrick Perrick, Louisa, and Caroline Scott, Greenlaw, approved, married by Mr Fry, July 1848. Marriage record: https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD37-1-7p120j2k Married 10 July 1848, at Bethesda Church, Hobart, Patrick Perry, 45, labourer, and Caroline Scott, 40, spinster, both signed their names. Witnesses were Dennis and Sarah Murphy.


From various Gaol Entrance record books for 1842, Perrick was listed as a native of County Westmeath and a groom. He was listed as being a Catholic in the Parramatta Jail book, and a "ribbonsman" as his crime.




Patrick Perrick was 28 years old on arrival in NSW, he was transported for ‘Firearms’ - listed as a Whiteboy Rebel. Patrick was married with 3 male and 1 female children. 1838: TOL 4/4/1840: COF 20/12/1842 Sydney Morning Herald: Thomas Beaghan, Daniel Divine, Edmund Saddler, and Patrick Perrick, were charged with having broken into Mr. Faithful's house on the 10th of October last. Beaghan pleaded guilty. Saddler was found not guilty, the other three ten years' transportation. Thomas Beaghan arrived on the Medina 1823, Daniel Divine Neptune 1838, Edmund Saddler (no ship found) 1843: Arrived in VDL per ‘Louisa’. 8/2/1848: TOL 5/2/1850: CP 21/12/1852: Free Certificate. About this time he is also listed and referred to as Patrick Perry. 10/7/1848: Married Caroline Scott (Greenlaw 1844) she was and Irish girl. 12/6/1849: Daughter Caroline was born and died at birth (Hobart) 20/6/1849: Caroline (the mother) died of decline aged 41 – Labourer’s wife – Liverpool Street, Hobart. This is now all under the listing of Patrick Perry – who I think is Patrick Perrick – but no proof, so to be taken with a grain of salt. 30/8/1852: Hobart – Patrick Perry aged 45, a widower, married Catherine Regan/Kegan aged 30, a widow, at Hobart. 29/5/1853: Female child born – Patrick was a greengrocer. 19/9/1854: Patrick Perry aged 50 died of Asthma at Hobart – Listed as a General Dealer.
