Convict Notes

The next prisoner given in charge was Fod.. Perrin, son of George Perrin, quay, stationer and bookseller, for having in possession, and uttering, knowingly, (forged?) same purporting to be stamps issued from the Head Post Office, Dublin. A number of witnesses were examined, and the result was, the conviction of the prisoner for the offence, which has became a felony by statute. The prisoner received an excellent character from ... of the respectability, and was recommended to mercy by the Jury, on account of his youth and character. The particulars of the trial, for which there is not room at present, we shall probably get at future publication Saunder’s News-Letter, 21 Feb 1815.
