Maurice Perry was 33 years old on arrival in WA. Occupation: Limeburner. Transported for the murder of a Police Constable whilst in the execution of his duty. Tried with Samuel Crawley who is not listed. Maurice was semi-literate, married with 1 child, 5'11" tall, black hair and whiskers, grey eyes, fresh complexion, M.P.C.S. on right arm. 15/1/1853: TOL 15/11/1854 Inquirer, Perth: FREMANTLE POLICE COURT. 7th.—Maurice Perry, t.l., a most pugnacious individual, who contributes liberally to the revenue in way of fines, was charged with assaulting a woman, and was fined 10s. 1/2/1864: CP. 3/5/1882 Victorian Express, Geraldton, WA: Tenders were received for filling railway trucks with gravel, and that of Maurice Perry was accepted. 13/8/1885: Maurice Perry died at Geraldton, WA., - found dead in his hut.




Killed a policeman in Bathhampton, Somerset. had a wife and one son in England. Was initially sentenced to hang but was reprieved and transported instead.
