David Peter, Verdict: Guilty, Verdict Comments: Guilty in terms of own confession, Sentence: Transportation - Life John Smith, Verdict: Guilty, Verdict Comments: Guilty in terms of own confession, Sentence: Transportation - Life. David Peter was 27 years old on arrival - his native place was Dundee, Scotland. David was literate, married with 2 children, 5/5¼" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, nose broad and rather flat, breast a little hairy. 13/6/1846: TOL Murrurundi - listed as a Baker. 12/5/1847: TOL altered to Moreton Bay. Possible death: 4/10/1881 Toowoomba Chronicle: PETERS.—At the residence of Lochlan Macpherson, Esq., J.P., Caledonian Valley, Emu Creek, on Monday, the 3rd of October, David Peters, aged 68 years.
