Looking at Moreton Bay convict Records, Michael Whelan, who arrived per Eliza 3, and who was sentenced to death for Cattle stealing at Sydney, 28 Nov 1828, (originally sentenced to Death, commuted to 14 years). His original sentence was at Dublin, in 1826, for stealing sheep, and is not Michael Phelan.
