Family connections for Samuel (Phelts) are: PHELTS/PHELPS Samuel (Phelts/Phelps) was born about 1761/72 & baptised on 30 9 1764 at Toddington Bedford Bedfordshire. He was tried at Bedford Assizes on 4 8 1791, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 2 6 1797 after a voyage of 10months on GANGES. He married Elizabeth (Vicking nee Boon her third marriage) on 5 5 1801 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was issued his Absolute Pardon in 1803. He was issued a beer licence in February 1811. He was juror at an inquest on 2 2 1812. He died on 25 7 1817 age about56 & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta. [Some details taken from this Website] Elizabeth (Boon) was born in 1757 (according to this Website) & baptised on 2 11 1746 at Chedzoy Somerset. She married firstly (1of3) Wm (Sealy) on 18 7 1769 at North Curry (Somerset). She married secondly (2of3) Robt (Vickery) in 1786 at North Curry Somerset. She was tried, as (Vicary), with her daughter Elizabeth for receiving apron etc (stolen by her daughter) at Taunton Assizes Somerset on 3 8 1795, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW with her daughter on 18 7 1798 after a voyage of 6.5months on BRITANNIA. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom on 1 9 1810. She died on 22 3 1823 age about66or77 at Parramatta mother of 4known children & was buried, as (Phelps), at St Johns CofE Parramatta.
