Located an article describing witness accounts of the setup and theft of cloth to the value of 40 pounds. He was 1 of 4 accused. Joseph and 1 other were described as casing the shop with trying to sell the owner some slippers then accused of breaking an entering later that night in a gang of 4. Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette 1/4/1841.
