Family connections for John (Pitches) are: Some amendments added Sep 2025. PITCHES John (Pitches) was born about 1780. He married firstly Mary (Reece) in Sussex. He was tried at Sussex Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict with his wife on 14 8 1802 after a voyage of 7months on PERSEUS.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Mary (Reece) arrived in NSW with her husband on 14 8 1802 after a voyage of 7months on PERSEUS.>>> John (Pitches) & Mary (Reece) produced 4children: 1.Edward Thomas (Pitches) was born on 17 12 1802 & baptised on 6 3 1803 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 2.Belinda (Pitches) was born on 24 8 1804 & baptised on 8 10 1809 age5 w/Elizabeth at St Phillips CofE Sydney. In 1822 he was on the road party. He married firstly Mary (Boulton age16 her first marriage) with permission on 5 4 1824 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced 3children. In about 1825 he was assigned to his wife. In 1828 he was a labourer at Prospect. On 31 3 1833 he was shopman for Nicholas (Carberry) at Greendale. In 1837 he was assigned to John (Rowe) at South Creek/St Marys Parramatta; he was maintaining his son Rowland. In 1838 he was at John (Blaxland)s farm at Luddenham Mulgoa. He was issued his Ticket of Leave 42/799 on 12 3 1842 while assigned to Mr (Ostler) & his Conditional Pardon 50/545 on 10 8 1850 for Penrith-later extended (50/546) to travel to Parramatta. In 1851/2 he is recorded as having a leasehold at St Marys/South Creek Penrith & carpenter Free by Servitude.
