1 October 1826 - Born in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, to parents Henry Plant and Susanna Hill. 18 January 1864 - Granted Ticket of Leave. 22 November 1864 - Married Mary Ann Leonard, Perth, Western Australia. 4 April 1872 - Granted Conditional Pardon. October 1872 - Sailed from Fremantle to Sydney on Red Jacket ship leaving wife and daughter behind. 28 January 1876 - Married Mabel Mary Constance Richardson, Sydney, New South Wales. December 1881 - Sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for false pretences - served in Darlinghurst Gaol. 30 November 1884 - Died in Sydney Hospital 18 months after being released from gaol.
