Birth dates of 1830, 1835 listed. Robert Pollett was transported for 'Stealing a pair of boots'. He was 22 years old on arrival in VDL, 5'8½" tall, dark complexion, black hair, no whiskers, dark eyes, Native Place: Manchester, scar upper lip, single. 29/11/1853: TOL 5/6/1855: TOL Revoked 12/6/1855: TOL 15/7/1856: Married Abbigail Lambert at St. Joseph's, Hobart - he was 26, a gardener, she was 22 a servant. 24/12/1856: COF, Hobart. 31/8/1888: Held 300 shares in the Twilight Extended Gold Mining Company, Launceston. 9/2/1890: Robert Pollett, aged 55 years, a Miner, accientally killed by fall of a tree - registered at Portland, Tasmania. 15/2/1890 The Tasmanian, Launceston: GEORGE'S BAY, Feb. 11. A man named Robert Pollett, aged 60, was killed on Sunday night by a dead wattle tree falling on the tent in which he was sleeping. He was employed in cutting a track past the falls at Upper George's River. Two other men wero sleeping in the same tent, but they escaped uninjured.

Reported in the Nottinghamshire Guardian on 28th February 1850: “REMOVAL OF CONVICTS. On the 18th instant, Robert Pollett, Charles Stafford, William Cooper, George Johnson, and Samuel Cliff, each sentenced to seven years’ transportation, were removed by Mr. Jackson from the County Jail to Millbank Prison.”
