There was an earlier Marriage Permission for Emma. Convict Permissions to Marry. 1825-1851. Henry Hodgson, per Exmouth, age 20, 7 years, Free, and Emma Pool, per Henry Wellesley, age 20, 7 years, Bond. Date of permission: 3 Aug 1837, Maitland, Rev. J. Garven.

Emma was born in 1816 at Madeley, Shropshire and was convicted at Stafford Quarter Session for stealing clothes from the dwelling-house of Joseph Sykes, at Birmingham, such as a handkerchief, a woollen shawl, etc. at the age of 19. Emma requested permission to marry fellow convict William Parke, which was granted when they married at Hexham, Newcastle, Christ Church in 1840. This union produced 11 children. Emma received her Certificate of Freedom on the 21st of June 1843. Emma passed away on 21 November 1886 at Gunnedah, New South Wales.

Above information on marriage is incorrect, Emma married William Park (1836 Susan) not William Parker (1834 Susan).
