John Powell, for stealing leather and 30s (£1.50p) from B. Griffiths, of Kilpeck, Herefordshire. Also for the theft of seven hen pheasants from E.B. Clive Esq. Of Whitfield, was reportedly sentenced to seven years transportation (Hereford Journal Weds 3rd April 1822). His reported seven years show as 'life' on his convict records.
