Lane Cove 5 Sep 1825 Honoured Sir I am a free man for many years and reside in Lane Cove, and understand that my brother Michael Power is on board the Lonark. I have a wife and large family to maintain and my name is down in your office for several months for a Government servant, I will now feel myself greatly obliged if your Honor will be pleased to assign my brother to me... John Power. Clearly this came about because in 1828 we find Michael a Government Servant, living with his brother and his family. [Ref P1180] Power, Michael, 30, GS, Lonach, 1825, Life.
