ADM 101/67/2/1 Diary of the convict ship Shipley for 19 November 1816 to 3 May 1817 by George Clayton, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the ship was employed in carrying convicts, soldiers and passengers from England to New South Wales. Folio 6: 15 December 1816: Punished Thomas Pugh, convict, with 24 lashes for theft and fighting. Folio 7: 4 January 1817: Thomas Pugh, convict, complained of pain in his leg.  Folio 9: 19 January 1817: Discharged cured ... and Pugh.
