Kesteven Sessions. Bourn.—At the Sessions held at Bourn, on the 14th and 15th inst.,  …. John Quibell, late of Aseby, in the parish of Haydor, was found guilty of stealing four geese, the property of Wm. Roberts of Scot Willoughby, and was sentenced to be transported for seven years. Carter Grice, charged as accessary, was admitted evidence.— Stamford Mercury, 25 Jan 1828. Commitments to the Castle.—-Under sentence of transportation, … from Sleaford sessions, Wm. Goodacre, John Quibell, Saml. Chambers, and John Dewey; ... Stamford Mercury, 8 Feb 1828. Calendar of Prisoners to take their trial the assizes.. ... Carter Grice, 25, and John Quibell, 31, late of Ailsby, laborers, stealing a sheep from J. Stokes, of Grantham. ... Stamford Mercury, 7 March 1828. Lincolnshire Assizes. Charge of Sheep-stealing near Grantham. Carter Grice and John Quibell, who had been committed on a charge of sheep-stealing, were not arraigned, Grice being delivered by proclamation, and no prosecution being preferred against Quibell  21 March 1828. On Friday last the following convicts, under sentence of transportation, were removed from Lincoln Castle to the Dolphin hulk at Chatham:—Joseph Motley, John Carter, Richard Thorn, Peter Teggardine, John  Head, Samuel Chambers, John Davey, William Goodacre, John Turner, and William Wright, for the term of seven years each; John Quibell, for fourteen years; and Edward Kirk for life.
