1828 Census index. Jane Quigley, age 31, F.S. Elizabeth, 1818, 7 years, catholic, wife of Fredk. Whitely, Kent St. Sydney. There is an entry for Frederick Whitely as follows: Frederick Whitely, age 35, F.S. Morely 1816, 7 years, protestant, Moreton Bay. There is not a Frederick Whitely on Morley, but there is a Frederick Whitelegg. There was not a prisoner listed in the Moreton Bay Convict Register of this name, so Frederick must have been otherwise employed there. There is a later application to marry for Frederick Whitelegg. Convict Application to Marry. Frederick Whitelegg, Morley 1, age 32, 7 years, Free; and Bridget Larkin, Asia (7). age 20, 7 years, Bond. Date of permission, 26 Mar 1830. Sydney, Revd. W. Cowper.
