Bartlet Quillan, per Asia 4, tried at Cavan, Burglary and Robbery, Life, Trade: Shoemaker, Colonial sentence, Quarter Sess. Bathurst, 25 Nov 1834, Larceny, Seven years. Moreton Bay. -------------------------------------------------- BATHURST QUARTER SESSIONS. The Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace assembled on Monday Morning, the 24th instant, at Dillon's Inn. Bartholomew Cullen and Catherine Aherne, prisoners of the Crown, were indicted for having stolen property in their possession. The female prisoner had absconded from the Bathurst Factory in November, 1833, and for some months had eluded apprehension. When discovered, she was inhabiting a temporary hut in an unfrequented spot, near Swallow Creek, in company with Cullen, an assigned servant on a neighbouring farm, several stolen articles being in their possession. The Jury found both prisoners guilty. Sentenced to be transported for seven years.
