This information, (which is edited, due to the length of it) comes from Paul Weaver, who is a descendant of William Quinlan: http://fremantlebiz.livejournal.com/40934.html At age 22 William was locked away in Mounjoy prison where he spent four years - in June 1853 he was finally transported to WA. He had scurvy on board the ship and was transferred to a shore hospital on arrival. 11/4/1854: TOL, Guildford, WA. 5/7/1856: CP 1860: Married Margaret McKeown who had migrated to WA on the 'Hamilla Mitchel' in 1859. They acquired a small land holding near York and had 7 children. Margaret died in April 1871, aged 31. August 1874: William died, aged 43, from 'natural causes'. The orphaned children were separated from each other and raised by the Catholic Church and foster parents. Many thanks to Paul Weaver for posting this information on the web.
