William RABBITS (alias ROBERTS or ROBBETS) was convicted at Wilts on 28 July 1827 for Burglary - housebreaking . Life sentence. Gaol Report: convicted before. Hulk Report: Good. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Marmion' 1827. Ship's report: orderly. Aged 24yrs; dark brown hair; Hazel eyes; 5'5";single; Protestant; farmer/ploughman. Native Place - North Bradley Father & Mother at native place Stated he last worked for Mr. Francis, at native place. Assignments, some further misconduct and punishment. Time spent at Port Arthur Penal Settlement. Further charge and conviction in the Colony, at Hobart, on 3 March 1834 - further 7 years. Conditional Pardon approved July 1845.
