Thursday se’nnight, when (in addition to those who were capitally convicted mentioned our last,) the following five prisoners received sentence of death; like the other five, were all reprieved before the Judge left Bury, viz. ... Mingay Rampling, for breaking aud entering the house of Robert Horn, of Brandon, and stealing one 5£. and three £ notes, guinea, 5/. in silver, a silver watch, and other articles; ... Norfolk Chronicle, 4 April 1818. --------------------------------------------------- The following seven male convicts were removed from our Gaol, to be put on board the hulks at Portsmouth: — John Smith, alias Suttle, John Downing, Mingay Rampling, and James Ely, to be transported for life; and Captain Thomas Brown, alias Bowen, Orbell Scarrow, and Richard Elliott, for 7 years.
