Morris was assigned to Dr Foster of brush farm, he worked here between 1834 and 1839. Morris traveled from Sydney to Port Phillip with a convict gang and was allowed to remain in Port Phillip in September of 1839 and on the 30th of October 1840 he received his certificate of freedom.




Morris was indited on the 23rd of February and then tried for stealing multiple items of jewelry including a locket from a sarah turnley on the 7th of March 1833, he was convicted and sentenced to 7 years, his accomplice a Catherine Dunlevy was found not guilty.
