Denis Butler and Patrick Redmond, were tried for stealing, on Friday night last, a jaunting-car, an axle tree, two springs, &c. at Kimmage, the property of Captain Norton, of the Battle-axe Guard. These are the men who had been arrested by the very great activity of Mr. Bell, superintendent of Horse Police, stated in our paper yesterday, while they were in the act of selling Captain Norton’s car. They were convicted, and sentenced each to 7 years transportation. Saunders’s News-Letter, 22 Feb 1826.
