The Australian Convict Indentures states that John Reagan was 24 years old. He was single and could not read or write; religion Roman Catholic and was a labourer. He was a native of County Cork. He was convicted of sheep stealing at Cork on 31 March 1828. He was sentenced to 7 years and had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 4 inches; complexion ruddy, freckled and pock pitted; hair brown and eyes blue. Transport number 111. Assigned to John ? , Hunter (?) River. Received Ticket of Leave (no. 34/145) and Certificate of Freedom (No 35/509)
