Sydney Quarter Sessions. Phillip Rellow was indicted for stealing a black silk waistcoat, the property of Mrs. Dillon, of Pitt-street. The prisoner was a servant in the employ of the prosecutrix for a short period, during which several articles of property were missing; suspicion fell on the prisoner and the waistcoat, the subject of the prosecution, was subsequently traced to the possession of the prisoner, by whom it had been sold to a man named Morris, for 10s. Guilty. -The learned Chairman, considering the prisoner's offence to be of an aggravated nature, on account of the relation in which he stood towards the prosecutrix, sentenced him to be transported for 3 years.
