William Rhodes married 16 year old Ellen Rodgers,in1845 he had been working as a shepard in the Rouchel area Later they travelled north to the New England, took up land at Newton Boyd, their property was "Curruldural". Ellen bore 11 children dying in childbirth in 1861.William was not at home at the time as the local school teacher was the informant of her death.William died in 1869
