Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette Somerset, England 13 Aug 1795: John Rice for stealing 51 (looks like, newspaper hard to read) yards of linen from a bleaching yard at Bedminster, to be transported 14 years. John Rice was listed as 35 years old on arrival. Unsure of death date - easy to be confused with John RICE who was a Private in the Royal Marines, he arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Sirius" - he married Amy HARPER in May 1795 at Sydney and died 12/8/1797 at Parramatta.
