Richard Edwards was convicted at Middlesex, London on 26 Oct 1826 for Larceny. 7yr sentence. Gaol Report. Hulk Report - repeatedly ironed for periods and known to have had a knife in his hand on the day of the stabbing of W. Pickthorn and others and a leader in all tussles and contemptuous and mutinous behaviour. A clerk to the gang of the Penitentiary Prisoners. Married, wife at Westminster. Aged 25yrs; labourer & lighterman. Native place - Leominster, Herefordshire. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Royal George' 1830. Clear Conduct Record
