Family connections for Margaret (Richards are: RICHARDS Margaret (Richards) was tried for theft probably at Old Bailey, sentenced to 7years for a reduced value of alleged theft, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8months on PITT; much fever & attempts to escape from the ship resulted in deaths of convicts-of the 450convicts on board only 29 were alive at muster in May 1792 (or perhaps only this many could be mustered). She married Samuel (Hunt) on 16 3 1795 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She was Free by Servitude by 1797. She may have returned to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with her family. [Noted a Margaret (Richards) is recorded as dying on 29 12 1830 in Sydney & buried at St Marys RC Sydney] [Some details taken from this Website] Samuel (Hunt) enlisted in NSW Corps on 6 5 1791 in UK as a private. He arrived in NSW as a soldier on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8months on PITTalso. He was granted 25acres at North Brush Field of Mars in 1795. In 1798 he was detached to (Foveaux)s company until 1800 when he was detached to Paterson)s company. He was granted leave in 1801. In 1803 he was detached to (Grose)s company then returned to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in that year, perhaps with his family. Margaret (Richards) & Samuel (Hunt) produced perhaps 5children: mosty boys 1.Margaret (Hunt) was born on 26 2 1793 & baptised on 30 4 1793 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She may have travelled to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with her parents. [Noted a William (Hunt/Lunt) is recorded as born in 1794, died on 20 6 1794 age <6m & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney-no parents given] 2.Nicholas (Hunt) was born on 7 7 1795 & baptised on 12 7 1795 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He may have travelled to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with his parents. 3.Samuel (Hunt) was born on 17 10 1797 & baptised on 14 1 1798 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She may have travelled to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with her parents. 4.Francis (Hunt) was born on 21 10 1799 & baptised on 17 11 1799 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He may have travelled to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with his parents. 5.Charles (Hunt) was born on 25 12 1801 & baptised on 14 2 1802 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He may have travelled to United Kingdom on HMS GLATTON in 1803 with his parents. AND an Elizabeth (Hunt) is recorded as born in 1807 (Smees records-no parents given).
